Special Education Lead Teacher

Mrs. Yolwana Jones

Mrs. Yolwana Jones has led the special education department at Slater as the Special Education Lead Teacher since 2017. Prior to working in this capacity, she worked as a special education teacher at Thomasville Heights Elementary, KIPP Metro Atlanta, and DeKalb County Schools. She holds certifications in K-12 special education, K-12 general curriculum, and leadership. She is committed to supporting the students & families of the Carver community as a collaborator and advocate for all students.
